In 2006, I pitched a graphic campaign for a sports newspaper in Rio de Janeiro. The idea was to portray live-action sports figures as illustrative collages with news rags. The idea later evolved, and the client printed them as the World Cup 2006 coverage campaign.
The collages portrayed players from some of the most charismatic teams of the Tournament. Each ad represents a team. The public has so well taken the designs that the newspaper made the artworks available for download as computer wallpapers on their website. There were also Posters and billboards, and the last one portrayed a goalkeeper jumping to catch the ball.
